Minecraft was created to a theme, like all games. The theme of Minecraft is based in a medieval era. The game suits it too, explaining it’s many medieval ways of living. Tools, equipment, weapons, armor. Even the blocks and items are all themed to a medieval style. Even so, the way Minecraft works, with all it’s blocks and mechanics is quite amazing. Almost anything can be created by a player if he/she put’s the effort into it. One thing I find many people have struggled to achieve, is Modern themed Minecraft Maps and builds. However, the Modern City Map for Minecraft 1.6.1 implements an amazing modern city, as the name states, into the game of Minecraft. The structures inside the Map have been developed very well, and I am impressed at the way these buildings have been developed. The buildings inside, such as homes and industrial structures look very modernized, and almost futuristic. I really enjoy the way the creator has laid out the map also, leading me to believe that the developer has clearly put a lot of time and effort into the piece of work.
